Follow these guidelines when using the Transitions logo in your promotions and communications. Please read this section carefully to find the information that suits your needs.
The Logo and Swirl
The logo is made up of the Transitions name and swirl symbol in unique hand-drawn lettering. The logo should not be altered in any way.
The swirl symbol is also hand-drawn and unique to Transitions. It is an integral part of the logo and, in general, should not be separated from it. There are instances, however, where the swirl can be used to create a dramatic look. Please be very selective where and how you use it on its own.
Minimum Space and Colors
The logo must always appear with a clear space around it (see illustration). This rule should also be observed when using a tagline. Sub-brand logos must also always appear with a clear space around them.
The use of Pantone Colors or the four-color process are the preferred methods of printing the logo to achieve full color reproduction.
If full color reproduction is not feasible or available, then these single color variations can be used.
The single color tinted logo
Transitions Dark Blue or Pantone 662
Dark blue @ 100% tint
Mid blue @ 60% tint
Light blue @ 30% tint
The single color solid positive logo
Transitions Dark Blue or Pantone 662 or black
Additionally, other reproduction methods can be used, such as embossing, de-bossing and engraving.
Typeface and Copy
Frutiger is the preferred typeface for text appearing in all print, advertising and promotional materials.
Remember to always use "lenses" after “Transitions” when referring to the product in copy. "Transitions®
lenses" is the correct brand name even though the word "lenses" does not appear in the logo. Please use the full name, capitalizing the first letter of Transitions only. When referring to the company, Transitions Optical, a registered trademark should not be used.
Legal Line
Any usage of the Transitions logo or any branding element on any support piece has to mention the following: "Transitions and the swirl are registered trademarks of Transitions Optical, Inc."
